Have you noticed that the city has the shape of an egg? Once you see it you can’t unsee it!

Enschedegg is a zine project. I initially wanted to draw a map of my favourite spots in the city. But the city has more to offer. I created then not a map, but an invitation to go out and explore and find hidden jewels in plain sight. Pay attention. Observe. Capture. Some things with your camera, some things in your memory.

Enschede is a source of constant inspiration, let yourself be surprised. Because as the old Twents adage says:

“Nums verdeent meer andach as de dinge dee gewoon lingt.”

(Nothing deserves more attention than those things that appear to be ordinary.)

Is het je opgevallen dat de stad de vorm van een ei heeft?

Enschedegg is een zine project. Aanvankelijk wilde ik een kaart tekenen van mijn favoriete plekjes in de stad. Maar de stad heeft meer te ontdekken. Ik creëerde toen geen kaart, maar een motief om op zoek te gaan naar verborgen juwelen in het zicht. Wat trekt jouw aandacht? Observeer. Maak wat foto’s met je camera, maar maak ook herinneringen.

Enschede is een bron van voortdurende inspiratie, laat je verrassen. Want zoals het oude Twents spreekwoord zegt:

“Nums verdeent meer andach as de dinge dee gewoon lingt.”

(Niets verdient meer aandacht dan de dingen die gewoon lijken).
